You’re one step closer to better understanding the VA disability process.
Straightforward answers so you know what to expect before you ever get on a call with us.
What exactly does Patriot Aid do?
We help veterans better understand the VA disability process, review their current situation, and outline strategies for building stronger claims. That includes organizing evidence, identifying potential secondary connections, and preparing you to talk about your symptoms at medical appointments and exams. We focus on education and strategy so you can move forward with more clarity and confidence.
Are you part of the VA?
No. Patriot Aid is an independent, veteran-owned company. We are not part of the Department of Veterans Affairs, and the VA makes all final decisions on disability claims. Our role is to help you understand the process and present your situation as clearly and completely as possible.
Can you guarantee that I will get a higher rating or back pay?
No one can ethically guarantee a specific rating or outcome. The VA reviews your records, exams, and evidence before making its own decision. What we can do is help you avoid common mistakes, understand what information matters, and go into the process prepared instead of guessing.
Do I need a new doctor to work with Patriot Aid?
Not necessarily. Many veterans use their existing VA or civilian providers. Part of our work together is helping you understand what to bring up at appointments, what kinds of symptoms to mention, and how to make sure your day-to-day limitations are reflected in your records over time.
I already filed a claim and was denied. Is it too late?
Being denied or underrated doesn’t necessarily mean the story is over. In many cases, decisions were made with incomplete or unclear information. We can review what happened, highlight potential gaps, and help you understand options for moving forward so you can decide what makes sense for you.
What kinds of conditions do you see most often?
We regularly talk with veterans about chronic pain, back and joint issues, migraines, mental health conditions, sleep problems (including sleep apnea), and secondary conditions that develop over time. Every veteran’s situation is unique, so our focus is on understanding your full picture—not just a single diagnosis.
What happens during the first consultation?
We’ll ask about your service, your current rating (if you have one), your symptoms, and your goals. You’ll be able to ask questions, and we’ll outline a high-level strategy tailored to you. From there, you can decide if you’d like more in-depth guidance and support.
Do I have to pay anything upfront?
Getting started with Patriot Aid is free. If you choose to work with us beyond the initial consultation, we offer transparent, flat-fee educational sessions focused on understanding the VA disability process and organizing your documentation. We do not provide legal advice or represent veterans before the VA, and we do not guarantee outcomes.
